Following American politics during the last four years has left most of us puzzled. However, violence and social conflicts are not new in recent American history. In last year’s course novels by John Steinbeck and Truman Capote have captured this fact. The course of this semester will focus on the works of Hemingway, Roth, and Updike. The team will agree on two titles from two different writers, read the books and exchange ideas and opinions in an informal setting.
